Rebuilding Efforts Continue After Hurricanes' Wrath

Months after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita caused catastrophic damage to the the Gulf Coast, millions of people continue efforts to rebuild the region.  Hurricane Katrina is said to be the costliest hurricane in United States history with over $75 billion in damages.

Louisiana-based Barriere Construction Company has been in the forefront of efforts in the hard-hit areas.  According to Barriere Vice President Bart Breland,  the company is currently working on over 20 different jobsites for the city of New Orleans while also doing some work for the corps of engineers and some clean-up detail. 

When asked what will restore faith and goodwill in the area, Barriere President George Wilson said that the "people in New Orleans and the surrounding areas have to be assured that the levees are going to protect them."
